June 28, 2005

Dear Susan:

We are deeply concerned about Blue Man Group's unacceptable decision to mount a nonunion production in Toronto while refusing to negotiate a fair contract with Canadian Actors Equity Association. Without equivocation, Screen Actors Guild stands firmly behind CAEA as it tries to bring this intransigent producer to the bargaining table.

As a show of support, the Guild will formally ask all of its members not to audition or accept work with the Blue Man Group's Toronto production—until CAEA is able to negotiate an acceptable contract.

We understand this is a crucial struggle for your working members and request that you keep us updated on all developments. Please let us know if Screen Actors Guild can provide additional assistance to CAEA regarding this matter.

In Solidarity,

Melisa Gilbert - Gregory J. Hessinger
